VW Golf MK2 Rallye

First post the MK2 Golf section, which i suspect will become the largest section.

A small review of the Golf Rallye.  I my humble opinion a superb piece of kit. The only downside to the car i see is that Volkwagen never made it Right Hand Drive.   There was only 5000 of these monsters Made, which makes them extremely scarce.  But even now these occasionally pop up at reasonable prices. Searching the club forums and Auction sites usually reveal one or 2 examples. I will add some photos and links shortly.

The main problem with a model with such a short run is Spares.  Spare parts for the Golf rallye are already very short.  If you a minor bump and damaged your Rear Quarter panel or headlamp, Where would you go?  There are a few specialists around but a Golf Rallye headlight would cost over £125 upwards.  I recently saw a Golf Rallye rear Quarter panel sell for over £400.00  I guess with a car like this its always bound to be of great interest and now will only increase in value. Just dont damage anything!
